Are you an introvert or an extrovert...or maybe an ambivert? If we think of these on a spectrum, ambiverts fall in the middle. What is an ambivert? Has qualities of both an introvert and an extrovert but the direction depends greatly on the situation and our mood.

They are also referred to as: Social introverts: An introvert who can be outgoing in certain situations/people or when it's needed Antisocial extroverts: An extrovert who needs time to recharge before socialising or likes more alone time than a typical extrovert What does this mean for Leadership and teams?

There is a bias exists where extroverts in leadership positions are concerned. They are often alpha personalities who are comfortable in the spotlight - the more they talk, the more attention they receive and the more powerful (they are perceived to be).

However, both introverts and extroverts make good leaders however 'how' they lead their teams differs. They are often better listeners, more thoughtful and reflective in their approach and have a sense of calm. Unless we look for them, we miss these 'quiet' but valuable traits. Not sure which you are, you can take the quick test below.
